Buffalo Blizzard® Water Bags secure your inground pool winter cover during freezing temperatures and in harsh weather. They are best used with winter covers that have built in water bag loops and are constructed from high quality vinyl. Water bags should be filled ½ - ¾ full to allow room for water freezing expansion. They are designed to withstand freezing temperatures and treated with antibacterial & antifungal additives and UV inhibitors to prevent fading.

Or upgrade to Buffalo Blizzard® Blizzard Blocks, an alternative option to water bags that offers a more durable solution with its high-density polyethylene material. Simply fill ¾ of the block with water and snap on the top lid, when spring arrives take off the lid and tip the blocks to drain. The blocks can be used with any pool type and are infused with UV inhibitors that stop fading or cracking.

Tip: If you have trouble closing a water bag's valve, try soaking it in warm water.

Pool Winter Water Bags and Air Pillows

Complete your winter pool setup with high-quality water bags or Aqua Blocks, and air pillows. These are purpose-built accessories that help secure and support your winter pool cover throughout the cold season. Winterizing tools ensure your pool cover stays in place, preventing damage from ice and snow, and reducing spring cleanup time.

Water bags and Aqua Blocks act as weights around the cover's perimeter to hold it securely, so it won't shift or move during heavy snowfall. Air pillows (also called ice equalizers or pool cover air bags) sit under the cover in order to absorb pressure from freezing water and ice expansion, protecting your pool's walls and liner from damage.
